Varun Dhawan all set to shoot for Atlee's action thriller soon

Bollywood actor Varun Dhawan is currently leaving no stone unturned in promoting his upcoming film, 'Bawaal', alongside Janhvi Kapoor. Simultaneously, he is preparing to commence shooting for his highly-anticipated collaboration with acclaimed director Atlee. This yet-to-be-titled action entertainer, tentatively known as VD18, is set to be helmed by Tamil director Kalees, with Atlee serving as the producer alongside Murad Khetani.

According to a report from ETimes, Varun Dhawan is all set to begin filming for the Atlee project on July 16, following an intensive promotional spree for 'Bawaal'. The first schedule of the film will be shot on a Mumbai set, with Atlee personally overseeing the production, except for the action and song sequences. This exciting venture marks Varun's first collaboration with Atlee, a director known for his blockbuster Tamil films.

Expressing his excitement about working with Nitesh Tiwari, Varun shared, "Working with Nitesh sir was always on my bucket list. I still remember, I often asked Nitesh sir to make a film with me during the Covid times. Finally, after 7-8 months, he had a story for me. I personally feel it is one of my best characters. This is closest to reality."

Speculation suggests that the film is a remake of Atlee's Tamil hit 'Theri', which garnered immense acclaim upon its release.

As Varun Dhawan balances promotions for 'Bawaal' and prepares to kickstart his collaboration with Atlee, fans eagerly anticipate witnessing the versatile actor in action.
