After a month-long political drama over government formation in Maharashtra, BJP finally turned the tables on its rivals ending the impasse. BJP’s Devendra Fadnavis was sworn in as the Chief Minister of Maharashtra on Saturday morning. The political strike has stunned not only the common public but also their rival parties - Shiv Sena and Congress.

The overnight twist came only a few hours after Shiv Sena, Congress and NCP went through the final discussion for forming a coalition government in Maharashtra. NCP supremo Sharad Pawar’s nephew, Ajit who took the oath as the Deputy Chief Minister changed the game by bringing a faction of politicians from NCP to form a government with the BJP.
