Sikandar BO Day 2: Salman Khan's film sees jump from afternoon shows on Eid; on track for Rs 100 CR nett

Salman Khan and his Eid festive film releases have historically set the Bollywood box office on fire. All eyes are on Sikandar and its performance on Eid. The good news is that AR Murugadoss and his movie has indeed picked up momentum. Trade expert Atul Mohan of Complete Cinema told us that Sikandar saw a huge jump in occupancy in the afternoon shows. It is surely going to touch close to the Rs 35 crore mark on day two. The movie is trending better on Eid than on Sunday. Even in the South, it has picked up in Bengaluru and Hyderabad as per trade analyst Ramesh Bala.

The core audience of the actor has turned up in large numbers for Eid. Manoj Desai, the owner of Gaiety-Galaxy-Maratha Mandir told us, “All shows are houseful. We are seeing good spot bookings. Sikandar will surely cross the Rs 100 crore mark by the end of Baasi Eid. We are seeing good advance bookings for tomorrow as well.”

Akkshay Rathie who is an exhibitor and trade expert says Sikandar is surely going to cross the Rs 30 crore mark in India on Eid. “It should cross the Rs 100 crore nett mark by end of Baasi Eid, or maybe in a day more. The rest depends on how the content clicks with the audience,” he stated. It has made Rs 52 crores worldwide so far as per the production house, Nadiadwala Grandson. It is trending better than Kisi Ka Bhai Kisi Ki Jaan but lower than Tiger Zinda Hai.
