Sikandar BO Day 2 Estimates: Salman Khan fans to make it an Eid bonanza; shows added in Mumbai

Salman Khan’s Sikandar is expected to set the box office on fire this Eid. The biggest success for Bollywood in 2025 has been Chhaava. Sikandar is expected to do better given the star presence of Salman Khan. The reviews for the movie have been mixed so far. One of the issues is that the character of Rashmika Mandanna dies too soon in the film. This has disappointed actress’ fans. We spoke to Manoj Desai, the owner of Gaiety-Galaxy and Maratha Mandir. He said the mood was upbeat for Eid. Salman Khan’s loyal fans do not miss his Eid releases and here is what Desai had to say.

“The bookings for Eid are happening at a good pace. I have added four more shows for tomorrow. The Sunday response for Sikandar was good. We can expect numbers till Rs 40 crores tomorrow given it’s a holiday."

Fans who have seen the film feel that Salman Khan aced the action and emotional parts of the movie. But AR Murugadoss’ screenplay has not been received too well. Akkshay Rathi who is one of the exhibitors for the Central Belt that includes Madhya Pradesh and Chhattisgarh said Rs 30 crores was guaranteed.

Trade expert Atul Mohan said Sikandar had made Rs 30 crore plus on Sunday. “Eid/Monday is going to be even bigger for the film. Salman Khan’s loyal fans won’t miss it. We can look at Rs 40 crores,” he said. Sikandar is on the lines of Jai Ho where he takes on the role of a messiah to clean society of its filth.
