Things awkward between Akshay and Rekha at Ambani reception? Find out

Industrialist Mukesh Ambani's elder son Akash Ambani tied the knot with diamond merchant Russell Mehta's daughter Shloka on March 9 in Mumbai. Their wedding was followed by a starry reception on March 10 and it was attended by the who's who of tinsel town, political and business world. And we must say, the crme de la crme were seen in their best traditional outfits as they arrived to bless the newlyweds.

Interestingly, Akshay Kumar, who stays away from most high-profile parties due to his strict schedule, was seen at the venue with his gorgeous wife Twinkle Khanna. His presence came as a surprise to everyone as he looked dapper in a suit while Twinkle opted for a shimmery-shiny Anarkali suit. However, while posing at the photo-op area, the couple bumped into Rekha, who looked classy as ever in an off-white embellished saree. Not only did the trio pose together for the shutterbugs but there was no sense of awkwardness between them, as some certainly expected.

For those caught unaware, Rekha and Akshay were said to be together back in the 90s and their chemistry in 1996 film Khiladiyon Ke Khiladi fuelled the rumours. Although the two actors vehemently denied sharing a relationship, the recent spotting is enough to make it clear that those were all just conjecture and there was never any truth to it.
