Update: Despite back-to-back cancellations, 'Welcome To The Jungle' on track; here's how

After a series of disruptions over the past few months, the team behind Welcome To The Jungle is now looking to resume the remaining leg of the shoot following the monsoon. While production had experienced multiple interruptions, primarily stemming from behind-the-scenes complications, a substantial part of the film is already in place.

According to sources familiar with the project, around 70 percent of the shoot has already been completed. The crew is said to be regrouping to execute the final portions later this year, once the weather conditions stabilize. Fresh locations are also being considered to facilitate a smoother production environment when filming restarts.

Several internal challenges appear to have impacted the film’s schedule. Among them, financial disagreements have been at the center of the roadblocks. Delays in remuneration to key members of the team reportedly led to a halt in filming activity. However, the producers are said to be addressing the matter and are optimistic about finding a resolution soon.

Despite these challenges, the project continues to hold momentum, largely due to the stature of the cast and the legacy of the franchise. With veterans like Akshay Kumar, Sanjay Dutt, Suniel Shetty, Jackie Shroff, and Arshad Warsi on board, there’s a shared sense of ownership and investment in seeing the film through to completion.

Those associated with the production suggest that morale remains intact, and the intention is to complete the film within a revised but manageable timeframe. Given the fan base for earlier Welcome films, the team is aware of the expectations and is working to meet them without compromising the final output.

The ensemble comedy was initially expected to wrap up sooner, but the new timeline is now aligned with a post-rainy season window.
