Taimur's Former Nanny Expresses Concern Over How Scared He and Jeh Must Have Been During Saif's Attack

The brutal attack on Bollywood star Saif Ali Khan has sent ripples through the film industry and political circles in Maharashtra. The actor was stabbed by an unidentified assailant at his Bandra residence early Thursday morning. Fortunately, his wife Kareena Kapoor and their children, Taimur and Jeh, were unharmed.

Lalita D'Silva, the former nanny of Taimur, expressed deep concern over the traumatic incident, especially for the young children. Speaking to Pinkvilla, D'Silva said, "I am feeling very bad. It is unbearable for me to imagine how Taimur and Jeh will be feeling at this point, especially Jeh. They must have got really scared." D'Silva, who was a part of the family for seven years, cared for Taimur from his birth in 2016 until 2023.

Reflecting on the attack, she added, "I am feeling very anxious about this whole incident and firmly believe that the culprits must be punished. I haven't been able to speak to anyone from the family yet, but I wish and pray that they are all safe."

The horrifying incident unfolded when an intruder entered Saif and Kareena’s home, confronting their domestic help. As Saif attempted to intervene, the situation turned violent, leading to multiple stab wounds. The family, including Kareena and their sons, Taimur and Jeh, were present during the ordeal.

Saif was immediately rushed to Lilavati Hospital, where he underwent surgery. By Thursday afternoon, his medical team confirmed that he was out of danger and had been moved to the ICU. Later, Kareena Kapoor issued a statement requesting privacy: “It has been an incredibly challenging day for our family, and we are still trying to process the events that have unfolded. As we navigate this difficult time, I respectfully and humbly request that the media and paparazzi refrain from the relentless speculation and coverage."

She continued, "While we appreciate the concern and support, the constant scrutiny and attention are not only overwhelming but also pose a significant risk to our safety. I kindly request that you respect our boundaries and give us the space we need to heal and cope as a family. I would like to thank you in advance for your understanding and cooperation during this sensitive time."
