Sushant's friend Siddharth alleges: "I am pressurized to record statements against Rhea," says he received Calls from SSR’s Relatives

Sushant Sigh Rajput reportedly passed away due to suicide after hanging himself to death in his room at his residence in Bandra, Mumbai. The actor left for heavenly abode on June 14, 2020, and today it’s been a month since his sad demise. 

Meanwhile, a four-member team has come from Patna to investigate people close to Sushant Singh Rajput. They have already spoken to his bank manager, former cook, sister, and former girlfriend, Ankita Lokhande. Mumbai Police is parallelly investigating the case and more than 30 people have been interrogated. 

Now, Sushant’s friend Siddharth Pithani wrote in an email to the police that he is being pressurized to make negative statements against actor Rhea Chakraborty.

A recent report in Mumbai Mirror quoted Pithani who mentioned that he received calls from SSR’s relatives, including one senior Indian Police Services officer, sister Meetu Singh, and a senior Supreme Court advocate on July 22. He said that they have been “asking him questions regarding Rhea Chakraborty and her expenses during her stay at Mount Blanc with Sushant.”

The report also mentioned him receiving a call on July 27 from the senior IPS officer O P Singh and asked him “to give a statement against Rhea Chakraborty to Bihar police.”

The Mumbai Mirror report quoted Pithan’s email which read: “I was told I would receive a phone call, after which I received a call from an unknown WhatsApp number. But the call ended within 40 secs, and no statement was recorded. I am pressurized to comply and record statements against Rhea, the things which I am not aware of.”

The email was used in the petition filed by Rhea with the Supreme Court.

Reportedly, Rhea’s advocate Satish Maneshinde said that he has filed a petition in the apex court seeking transfer of the case from Patna to Mumbai where the probe in the death case of actor Sushant Singh Rajput is going on.

In her plea, Rhea Chakraborty has also sought a stay on the probe by Bihar Police on the FIR lodged by Rajput’s father till the disposal of her plea in the top court, Maneshinde said.
