Sushant Singh Rajput was Confirmed to star with rumored girlfriend Rhea Chakraborty in a Rom-Com film!

Sushant Sigh Rajput’s untimely death has taken the entire film industry by a storm and celebrities are mourning the loss of a talented actor. The Chhichhore actor reportedly passed away due to suicide and after hanging himself to death in his room. Many have poured in their tributes through social media handles. The late actor’s demise has left his fans and family members devastated.

Meanwhile, Sushant’s funeral took place on June 15 2020, in Mumbai. The actor’s last rites ceremony was performed on Monday at Pawan Hans crematorium in suburban Vile Parle. Owing to the ongoing Coronavirus pandemic, only close family members and friends will be allowed to attend the funeral.

However, the Chhichhore actor’s alleged girlfriend Rhea Chakraborty, wasn't seen attending the funeral. Instead, she was spotted outside Mumbai's Cooper Hospital on Monday.

Now, a recent report suggests that before bidding his final adieu to the world, Sushant Singh Rajput was going to do a film with rumoured girlfriend Rhea. 

A Times Now report suggested that the duo was supposed to star in their first film together. Sushant was gearing up for a film with Rumy Jafry along with rumoured girlfriend Rhea.

In an interaction with Mumbai Mirror, he confirmed that the script was locked and they were going to kickstart shooting in May.

The report quoted him saying, "The script was locked and we were to begin shooting in May. The coronavirus pandemic and subsequent lockdown delayed things. “I lost Irrfan Khan, then Rishi Kapoor and Wajid and now Sushant. I am so disturbed my father has asked me to return home to Bhopal.”

Furthermore, revealing the details from the shoot, Rumy Jafry mentioned that the shoot was supposed to start in Mumbai, followed by a London schedule and the untitled film was expected to wrap things up by November but due to Coronavirus pandemic, early March all shootings were ceased.

Jafry added that the film was supposed to be a rom-com and was 'a full-fledged dance number' which could have explored Sushant's dancing skills. 

For the unversed, Rumy was a fantastic dancer and he wanted to use his skills in his film.

On the work front, Sushant was last seen in Chhichhore which also starred Shraddha Kapoor, Varun Sharma in pivotal roles. On the other hand Rhea Chakraborty was last seen in Jalebi.
