Supriya steps out; Garima Ajmani joins Geeta team..

Garima Ajmani who has essayed to perfection the role of Moti Bai in Zee TV's Jhansi Ki Rani bags yet another meaty role on the channel, this time in Shreya Creations' upcoming show Apno Ke Liye..Geeta Ka Dharma Yudh.

She will be playing the negative lead in the show, her character name being Mona.

As we know, Nisha Rawal was earlier finalized for this role and when she backed out, Supriya Kumari of Bairiy Piya fame was roped in. However, Supriya too opted out due to date problems.

Garima as reported by TellyBuzz had been finalized to play the close buddy of the male protagonist in Star One and Beyond Dreams' Rang Badalti Odhani. She was supposed to start shoot soon, when she was offered this challenging role on Zee TV.

Our source tells us, "Garima had taken up Odhani, but when she was offered a good role on Zee TV, she wanted to take it up. Garima's close association with Zee TV for the past one and half years in Jhansi Ki Rani prompted the actress to take up the role. She will not be part of Odhani now, and will start shoot of the Zee show in few days' time".

The role of Mona that she plays in Apno Ke Liye.. Geeta Ka Dharma Yudh has a negative shade. Mona is a college going girl who gets married into the female lead's family. Kanan Malhotra who essays the role of Rahul will play her husband while Sargun Mehta the lead girl will play the role of Rahul's sister.

Nikhhil Chaddha who was last seen in Star One's Miley Jab Hum Tum will play the male lead, the role of Prince who is the guy opposite Sargun Mehta.

When contacted, Nikhhil confirmed the news and said, "I am playing the lead role; the character is of Prince who is a guy with lot of variations to offer".

We could not get thro' to Garima Ajmani. The show is going on floors tomorrow, and their first outdoor shoot is scheduled to start in Wai, after which the team will shoot in Delhi.

The show will take the 6 PM slot on Zee TV.
