Pankit Thakker on his bonding with Mohak Matkar on the sets of Saru.

Actor Pankit Thakker, currently seen as Chandru in the newly launched show Saru, opened up about his bond with new talent Mohak Matkar, who plays the titular role of Saru in the show, and happens to be his onscreen daughter.

In an exclusive conversation, Pankit who was last seen in the show Barsatein – Mausam Pyaar Ka as Akash Khurana, said, "Working alongside Mohak Matkar, who brings Saru to life, has been an absolute delight. Our on-screen chemistry is undeniable, and I've enjoyed exploring the complexities of my character, Chandru. As Saru's father, Chandrus character will have an opportunity to guide and support her through various challenges, and Mohak has brought a depth to our relationship that I'm grateful for."

Remembering ahead about one of the memorable scene, he shared, "Playing Chandru has been a challenging yet rewarding experience. One particular scene that stands out is when Chandru and Saru cross their paths for the first time. Saru's emotions are put to the test in that scene, and Mohak added a layer of vulnerability to Saru's character. I think she was just too good in that scene and i also told her that. Her dedication to her craft is inspiring, and her passion is contagious.

Discussing about his bonding with the young actress who made her debut in this show, he added, "Our outdoor shoot in Rajasthan was an unforgettable experience. We bonded over dinner, sharing stories and laughter. Mohak is a breath of fresh air – warm, humble, and talented. She's a promising talent who brings depth and nuance to her character, Saru. I've enjoyed working with her and appreciate her commitment to her craft. Working on Saru has been a truly collaborative experience. From the early morning makeup sessions to the lunches and dinners together and the drive back to our hotel post-packup, every moment was filled with camaraderie."

He added, "Our director has done an excellent job of guiding us, and I'm excited to see how the story evolves. What drives me is that Saru is a powerful story that explores themes of identity, community, and resilience. I believe that stories like these have the power to inspire and educate audiences, and I'm proud to be a part of it. As an actor, I'm constantly looking for projects that challenge me and push me to grow."

Pankit also known for featuring in shows such as Kabhii Sautan Kabhii Sahelii, Dill Mill Gayye, Bahu Hamari Rajni Kant, Aapki Nazron Ne Samjha, Bohot Pyaar Karte Hai among others.
