Supriya Pilgaonkar reunites with Mahesh Thakur after 20 years for new show

Some shows and furthermore some onscreen pairs have been absolutely legendary to say thr least. While we may not have the best sitcoms to enjoy in these days, we did some of the best in earlier times.

We all remember how amazing Tu Tu Main Main was and pretty much began the trend of saas-bahu sagas even before Kyunki Saas Bhi Kabhi Bahu Thi. Of course, sans the drama and just good laughs. And while the Late Reema Lagoo and Supriya Pilgaonkar duo was absolutely amazing, the on-screen pairing of Pilgaonkar and Mahesh Thakur was also adorable.

Thakur and Pilgaonkar played husband and wife in Tu Tu Main Main and apart from the saas-bahu pairing, this husband wife pairing was loved too. And now after two long decades, this duo is all set to reunite on screen.

Yes. That's right! Thakur and Pilgaonkar are coming back on-screen after all this time in Ishara's upcoming show called Janani. The show is all set to be one of the first shows for the soon-to-be launching channel and will see this iconic duo come back on-screen.

A source close to the show mentioned how Pilgaonkar is really excited to be reuniting with Thakur after all this year's and cannot wait to work with him again.

Interestingly, the duo did work together in Sasural Genda Phool but weren't paired opposite each other.

The show is set to produced by Hats Off Productions and Ishara, as a channel is also set to be launching soon.
