SSMB 29: Priyanka Chopra lands in Hyderabad for pre-production of Mahesh Babu, SS Rajamouli's film

Some time back, rumours spread that Priyanka Chopra would make her grand comeback in Indian movies with SS Rajamouli’s SSMB 29 that has Mahesh Babu as the leading man. Later, these reports were dismissed as plain speculation. Today, Priyanka Chopra arrived in Hyderabad in a brown track pants set with a yellow cap. The actress was dressed in her casual best for a long flight to Hyderabad. It seems she is here for the pre-production meeting of the movie. The shoot is supposed to start somewhere in March and April. SS Rajamouli and his team took a long time to plan the movie, which will be on a global scale.

Priyanka Chopra’s last Bollywood movie was The Sky Is Pink. She won a lot of acclaim for her nuanced performance as a mother who has a daughter dealing with an incurable medical condition. Fans have been requesting her to make a Bollywood comeback for a long time now. Priyanka Chopra recently said that she is looking for that perfect project. She has finished filming for Heads Of State and The Bluff in Australia. The actress is also a part of Citadel Three, which is produced by the Russo Brothers.

SS Rajamouli’s movie is supposed to be an action adventure where Mahesh Babu plays a character inspired by Lord Hanuman. It seems he has to find a certain cure that will save mankind. The filmmaker has been writing the script since four to five years. He said he always wanted to make a movie like Indiana Jones, and this is on those lines. Priyanka Chopra has never worked in the Telugu movie industry. She did a Tamil film Tamizhan in 2002. Priyanka Chopra had held a special screening for RRR in the US. We wonder if the idea for the collaboration came from that special meeting.
