Almost ten years after she was found hanging at her home, a special CBI court today pronounced its verdict in the Bollywood actor Jiah Khan suicide case, in which her boyfriend and actor Sooraj Pancholi has been charged with an abetment.

Now, the verdict is out and Sooraj Pancholi was acquitted of the charge of abetting the suicide of actor Jiah Khan in 2013 due to a lack of evidence. Jiah Khan had died by suicide at her Juhu home on June 3, 2013, and Pancholi was facing charges under section 306 (abetment of suicide) of the Indian Penal Code.

The special CBI court in Mumbai presided over by Judge AS Sayyed, acquitted Sooraj Pancholi, stating that the court could not hold him guilty due to a lack of evidence. This decision has come as a relief for the actor, who had been facing the allegations for several years.

For the unversed, Jiah Khan's death shocked the film industry, and her mother accused Sooraj Pancholi of having a role in her daughter's suicide. The case had been under investigation for a long time, and Pancholi had been in the spotlight due to his alleged involvement in the incident.

However, with the court's recent verdict, Sooraj Pancholi has been cleared of all charges, and the case has ended.
