Sonu Sood on receiving Compliments from Governor of Maharashtra; says ‘Your words inspire me to work harder’

Sonu Sood was once again applauded for his efforts to help the migrant workers reach home. After Union minister Smriti Irani, cricketer Shikhar Dhawan and actor Ajay Devgn, the Governor of Maharashtra Bhagat Singh Koshyari on Wednesday lauded for helping stranded migrant laborers to return to their native places. 

The governor complimented the actor over a phone call and also posted the information on Twitter.

Taking to his social media handle, the Governor of Maharashtra tweeted, “Governor Bhagat Singh Koshyari called up actor, filmstar @SonuSood and complimented him for his dedicated work in facilitating the safe transportation of migrant people from various states to their home states.”

Sood responded to the tweet by saying that the Governor’s compliments have inspired him to work harder.

“Thank u so much sir. Your words inspire me to work harder. Will continue working for the migrant brothers and sisters till we unite them with their families. Honoured,” tweeted Sood.

The 46-year-old actor has directed his efforts towards relieving the plight of migrant workers and students who are stuck in different parts of the nation. From arranging busses to making food donations, Sood has done it all and he continues to do so as the number of migrants seek help through social media. 

The coronavirus scare has shocked the entire nation as workers continue to hike towards their native homes amid the nationwide lockdown. 

The Dabangg actor organized 10 buses for migrants workers to help them reach Gulbarga, Karnataka. Later he organized multiple bus services to take migrant workers to Uttar Pradesh. 

Apart from that, while Sonu Sood’s Twitter handle remains to be flooded with requests from ‘Migrant Workers’ to reach home, he has now introduced a helpline number which will help them connect faster and more efficiently.
