Sonakshi Sinha Calls Out Mukesh Khanna for Questioning Her Upbringing and Family Values

Sonakshi Sinha has responded strongly to Mukesh Khanna’s remarks on her upbringing and the values instilled by her father, Shatrughan Sinha. Mukesh had brought up an old Kaun Banega Crorepati (KBC) episode where Sonakshi failed to answer a question about the Ramayana, blaming her father for not teaching her enough about Indian culture. Sonakshi, in turn, asked him to stop using her and her family for attention.

Mukesh Khanna’s comments resurfaced after an interview where he spoke about the incident. He recalled the KBC moment, stating that Sonakshi, despite being Shatrughan Sinha's daughter and having brothers named Luv and Kush, failed to answer a question about Lord Hanuman. Mukesh added, “It’s not her fault, but her father’s for not teaching her these things.”

Reacting to this, Sonakshi took to Instagram and addressed Mukesh’s statements. She wrote, “I recently read your comment blaming my father for my inability to answer a question on the Ramayana years ago. Let me remind you there were two women on the hot seat that day who didn’t know the answer, but you keep taking only my name, for obvious reasons.”

She further said that forgetting the answer was a human error. “Yes, I blanked out that day, but let’s not forget the lessons Lord Ram taught us about forgiveness. If Lord Ram could forgive Manthara, Kaikeyi, and even Ravan, surely you can let go of such a small thing. Not that I need your forgiveness,” she added.

Sonakshi also warned Mukesh to stop using her name to stay in the news. She stated, “Please stop bringing up the same incident repeatedly for publicity at my and my family’s expense.”

Mukesh Khanna’s interview with Siddharth Kannan highlighted his views on modern parenting. However, Sonakshi clarified that her mistake on KBC stemmed from her caution about winning prize money for the contestant she was supporting.
