Sara Ali Khan to be paired opposite Ayushmann Khurrana in 'Dream Girl 2' - Report

Ayushamann Khurrana starrer Dream Girl was a super hit amongst the fans and they loved the concept of the film. In the film, Ayushmann Khurrana portrayed a person whose female voice mimicry attracts notice. The film discussed despair and loneliness. In supporting parts, it also featured Nushrat Bharucha, Annu Kapoor, Manjot Singh, Vijay Raaz, and Abhishek Banerjee.

And as we know, the sequel to 'Dream Girl,' starring Ayushmann Khurrana, is in the works. While they have opted to keep the actor as their male lead, they are hunting for a female lead. According to the latest reports, Sara Ali Khan is the best pick for Raaj Shaandilyaa's directorial venture out of all the names being floated. According to the source, the producers are seeking a spunky young girl, and Sara fits the bill well.

Although they have approached her for the project, they are still in negotiations, and the young diva has yet to give her approval. The project is set to begin production later this year. If Sara joins the project, it will be her first cooperation with Ayushmann. They have previously discussed working together on a project. However, due to pandemic-induced delays, things did not appear to have materialized.

Meanwhile talking about their professional engagements, Ayushamann was last seen in the film Anek. The film received mixed reviews from the audience as well as the critics. Apart from this, he would also be a part of Doctor G and An Action Hero. Sara Ali Khan on the other hand will be seen in the film Gaslight alongside Vikrant Massey. She also has Laxman Utekar's romantic comedy in her kitty wherein she will star alongside Vicky Kaushal.
