Samantha Ruth Prabhu & Varun Dhawan to begin Citdael shoot in January
Samantha Ruth Prabhu had reportedly quit Varun Dhawan starrer Citadel but latest reports suggest otherwise.
There has been a lot of discussion about Samantha Ruth Prabhu's health and how it is affecting the times that her forthcoming films will be shot. Once more, rumours were circulating that Samantha had departed Raj and DK's next spy drama Citadel, which also stars Varun Dhawan. For the unversed Sam, who has been diagnosed with the autoimmune condition myositis, is also rumoured to be taking a lengthy leave of absence from work, which has fuelled rumours that she may be replaced in upcoming projects.
While reports from Pinkvilla suggest that Citadel, in which Samantha Ruth Prabhu will co-star with Varun Dhawan, will begin filming in the second half of January 2023. Soon, the precise dates will be announced. The reports further stated, "Everything that has been said about her being replaced at Citadel is untrue. Beginning in the second half of January, she will start the shoot ".
The film is helmed by Raj and DK, Citadel is the Indian adaptation of the International series which is originally created by the director duo, Russo Brothers. While the original American show's creators, The Russo Brothers, also made the following announcement on twitter.
Talking about the film, Varun Dhawan and Samantha will both appear in a number of intense action scenes, and the film's producers have hired a Hollywood action director to oversee their martial arts training. The majority of the movie will be filmed in Mumbai, with the remainder taking place in a few Eastern European nations. Apart from this, Samantha Ruth Prabhu will be seen in the mythological project Shaakuntalam, written and directed by Gunasekhar.
