The release of 'Son Of Sardaar 2' was postponed from July 25 to August 1, a move prompted by the strong performance of 'Saiyaara,' which premiered on July 18. In 'Son Of Sardaar 2,' Mrunal shares the screen with Ajay Devgn, alongside Ravi Kishan and Deepak Dobrial. Addressing the situation, Mrunal clarified the reasons behind the release date shift, dispelling any notions of competition with 'Saiyaara.' She said during a chat with Miss Malini, "If a film like this is doing well, we want it to breathe right. We want it to get its due love and recognition. I mean, why not celebrate Saiyaara yaar? Let's give all the screens and everything to a film that truly deserves that much love."
She said further, "I haven't watched the film yet because I have been promoting lately, but it's on my list. I want to watch it. Now there are lots of questions. People are saying that you know you 'Oh, you got scared and all', and I am like no, we are only supporting a film which is doing well."
"Welcoming the debutant stars to the film industry with open arms, Mrunal added, "And I am so happy that films in Bollywood are doing great, especially with newcomers opening. This is just humongous. And I am so happy, and I am so proud of them. And welcome to the cinema, guys. Welcome to the movies."
