Stand-up comedian Pranit More recently made jokes about Ibrahim Ali Khan and Khushi Kapoor's film, "Nadaaniyan". Pranit took aim at Ibrahim, joking that even Saif Ali Khan's attacker was forced to watch the film as punishment. He also questioned Khushi's performance, suggesting it tarnished the image of everyone involved.
Khushi Kapoor alag level par chal rahi hai—kya haga hai, lekin consistently haga hai. Khushi ki last movie (Loveyapa) Junaid Khan (Aamir Khan ke bete) ke saath aayi thi, usne uski image kharab kar di. Ab wali movie Saif Ali Khan ke bete Ibrahim Ali Khan ke saath hai, aur uski bhi image kharab kar di
- Pranit said, as quoted by Free Press Journal
“Aisa lagta hai jaise Khushi Kapoor ne kasam kha rakhi hai ki Dil Chahta Hai mein jin-jin logon ne kaam kiya hai, sabke bacchon ki g**nd maarni hai. Akshaye Khanna khush hai, soch raha hoga ‘Accha hua shaadi nahi ki!'" he added.
“Usne itna kharaab kiya hai ki Saif ke attacker ko judge ne bola, ‘Tujhe faansi nahi denge, tujhe Nadaaniyan do baar dekhni padegi.’ Woh bechara chilla raha hai, ‘Gala kaat do mera,'" the comedian concluded.
Nadaaniyan directed by Shauna Gautam, follows Pia Jaisingh (played by Khushi), a wealthy girl who hires Arjun Mehta (played by Ibrahim), a talented boy from a middle-class background, as her fake boyfriend. Their staged relationship takes a turn when they unexpectedly fall in love. However, since its release, the film has been met with criticism for its weak plot and the performances of Ibrahim and Khushi Kapoor.
At a recent event in Mumbai, Karan Johar was asked about the criticism surrounding "Nadaaniyan." He stated, “Those who know me understand that my relationship with critics doesn’t change based on their reviews. If you liked or disliked the film, that is your perspective. I have always believed that there’s no grand conspiracy to pull a film down, though trolls will do that. But these are frustrated, faceless people behind screens. I pity them."
