Saif Ali Khan on how 'hideously embarrassing' his cross-dressing look was in 'Humshakals'

Saif Ali Khan is a Bollywood actor who is acclaimed for his versatility and immaculate acting abilities. In his three-decade career, the Nawab of Pataudi has given us countless successful films. In reality, Saif has been in a number of films and has never flinched away from experimenting with his persona. Saif's appearance in the 2014 film Humshakals was particularly notable. He performed three roles in the film, including one in which he cross-dressed as a woman.

Saif recently recalled his cross-dressed look from Humshakals in a recent interview with social media personality Kusha Kapila. This transpired when Kusha showed him his various appearances in films such as Hum Tum, Go Goa Gone, and others. 

This included his Humshakals cross-dressed look, to which Saif replied by remarking, 

“Oh my god. Oh my god, Sajid (Khan), what did he do to us?” He then imitated the running style from the pic and said, “What is this running? It is hideously embarrassing”.

Saif also recounted a dialogue he had with Humshakals co-star Ritesh Deshmukh while they were cross-dressing for a scene. He stated,

 “I remember we were discussing bust size and Ritesh said… I think he called me a tart and he said, ‘I’m not like you. I’m much more classy. I have nice little pert.’ He said ‘You’re just like a voluptuous…’”.

For the uninitiated, Ritesh Deshmukh, Ram Kapoor, Tamannaah Bhatia, Esha Gupta, and Bipasha Basu starred in Humshakals, which was a flopped at the box office. In fact, in one of his interviews, Saif labelled the film a blunder.

Saif is now making headlines for his role in the Bollywood adaptation of Vikram Vedha alongside Hrithik Roshan. In addition, he will star alongside Prabhas and Kriti Sanon in Om Raut's highly anticipated film Adipurush.
