Saif Ali Khan was attacked early Thursday when an intruder broke into his home during a burglary. He was injured and quickly taken to Lilavati Hospital for surgery, where his health is now stable. Meanwhile, new CCTV footage shows Saif's alleged attacker buying headphones from a mobile phone store called "Iqra" near Lakshmi Hotel in Dadar after the incident.

The Mumbai Crime Branch reviewed CCTV footage in the Lakshmi Hotel area of Dadar at 9 o’clock last night. In another clip, the suspect was spotted near Bandra Railway Station wearing different clothes and walking with his hands folded.

The man seemed anxious about being captured on CCTV, but it was his Fastrack bag that ultimately revealed his identity.

After attacking Saif Ali Khan, the suspect spent nearly five hours in the Bandra area, with the CCTV footage that has emerged recorded at 7:00 am. This marks the fourth piece of CCTV footage of the suspect as the manhunt enters its third day.

In the earlier footage, the suspect was seen wearing a yellow shirt, and at another point, he was in a blue shirt at Bandra railway station. He was wearing the same shirt when he was at the mobile store in Dadar.

The police are actively trying to track the suspect using CCTV footage and other sources. They are currently checking the track records of nearly 2,000 mobile towers.

Update about Saif’s knife attack

As per a report by India Today, a senior police inspector from the Bandra police station visited Saif and Kareena's home to take her statement regarding the incident. The inspector documented the Crew actress's account, which is important for reconstructing the events that resulted in Saif's hospitalization.

Kareena reportedly told the police, "The intruder got very aggressive during the scuffle with my husband, stabbing him multiple times. We somehow managed to move to the 12th floor, but the jewellery left in the open remained untouched."

Sait was stabbed six times by an intruder who demanded a ransom of Rs 1 crore. The frightening incident took place in their Mumbai residence, with the assailant also entering their youngest son Jeh's room. Hours after Saif underwent surgery, Kareena requested privacy for their family as they navigate this traumatic experience.

Saif Ali Khan has come out of surgery and is out of danger. He is currently in recovery and the doctors are monitoring his progress.
