Samantha Ruth Prabhu created a stir across social media on Monday after she released a series of photographs announcing her marriage to filmmaker Raj Nidimoru. The ceremony took place at the spiritual grounds of the Isha Yoga Centre in Coimbatore, where the couple exchanged vows in the Linga Bhairavi Temple. The venue, known for its quiet atmosphere and traditional rituals, provided an intimate setting for the actress who has often spoken about her interest in meditation and wellness.

While the wedding was initially met with congratulatory messages, the conversation shifted dramatically when posts began circulating about Raj’s previous marriage. A friend of his former partner Shhyamali De shared a message that implied the filmmaker was still legally married. The comment drew instant attention and placed Raj at the centre of an unexpected controversy.

On Monday evening, Shhyamali’s friend Bhavna Tapadia reposted an image originally shared by another acquaintance and added a pointed remark that read, 'To all those who are asking me… last time I checked, she was still married, and the last time was NOW.' The photo showed a woman with her eyes closed wearing a vivid red bindi and a long streak of sindoor, a traditional sign of marital status in many parts of India. Bhavna also included a reflective message about karmic ties which said, 'Through the bond of past debts runanubandha, one becomes connected with pets, spouse, children, and home… When those karmic debts are exhausted, those relationships come to an end.'

Neither Raj nor Shhyamali has responded to the claims, which has only increased public curiosity. A day earlier, when rumours about the possible wedding first appeared, Shhyamali posted the cryptic line, “Desperate people do desperate things” on her Instagram stories, adding more fuel to the discussion.

Reports previously claimed that Raj and Shhyamali ended their marriage in 2022, and supporters of this view point out that she has not shared any photographs with him since that year. Her last post featuring him was from their anniversary celebration, after which her account contains no trace of their relationship. Observers now await an official clarification from either party as the debate continues to grow.
