Rhea Chakraborty Reaches Bandra Police Station to Record Statement in Connection to Sushant Singh Rajput's Suicide Case

Bollywood actor Sushant Singh Rajput was found hanging in his Bandra residence in Mumbai. The actor was battling depression for the last six months and took the drastic step of ending his life on Sunday, June 14, 2020.

The police had sent Sushant’s body to Dr RN Cooper Municipal General Hospital in Mumbai for a post-mortem on Sunday. After conducting a post-mortem, the Cooper Hospital has released an advance certificate on Monday stating asphyxia due to hanging as the cause of his death in the report. The autopsy report has said that it is a case of suicide. His viscera samples have been preserved for chemical analysis and will be sent to the forensic science laboratory. He has also tested negative for COVID-19.

However, the police are also probing professional rivalry as alleged, in connection to Sushant Singh Rajput's suicide case.

On June 17, the Mumbai Police recorded the statement of Bollywood casting director Mukesh Chhabra who shared a close rapport with the late actor. "Former casting director of Sushant Singh Rajput, Mukesh Chhabra's statement was recorded in Bandra police station. He said that his relations with Rajput were good. He did a film named Drive recently where he did good work," DCP Abhishek Trimukhe told media persons.

"Chhabra has not said anything about the reports that Rajput did not have any films on his hands. Police is interrogating Rajput's team," he added.

And now, Sushant’s rumoured girlfriend and actress Rhea Chakraborty has arrived at the Bandra Police Station in Mumbai to record her statement following Sushant Singh Rajput’s untimely death. In the video below, Rhea can be seen arriving at the police station.

Sushant and Rhea were rumoured to be in a relationship but neither of the two actors confirmed the same publicly. The duo was often spotted at outings together. A Times Now report suggested that the duo was supposed to star in their first film together. Sushant was gearing up for a film with Rumy Jafry alongside Rhea.
