They say, the ultimate measure of a man is not where he stands in moments of comfort and convenience but in challenge and controversy *self-pat on the back*. Right from nasty fights to fraud cases and outrageous unsolicited comments, a lot has happened this year. 

Here’s taking a look at all the major 2019 controversies that shocked everyone:

Shweta Tiwari Filed Complaint Against ex-husband Abhinav Kohli of Domestic Abuse & Harassment Towards Daughter Palak Tiwari:

Shweta Tiwari and Abhinav Kohli have had a troubled marriage, but that’s old news. However, Shweta shocked everywhen when she filed a complaint against Abhinav for domestic violence and harassment towards her daughter Palak. The news left everyone shocked. However, later Palak clarified that she was subjected to verbal abuse and domestic violence but negated all the rumours of molestation. 

Anu Malik’s Dismissal From Indian Idol 11 as Judge:

Anu Malik has been the judge of singing reality show Indian Idol for many years but recently, the music composer was ousted from the show over allegations of MeToo complaints against him. Singer Sona Mohapatra started the petition of requesting Sony TV to dismiss him from the judges panel of the show. Later, Himesh Reshammiya replaced him. 

Hardik Pandya’s outrageous & sexist comments on chat show Koffee with Karan 6:

Bollywood filmmaker Karan Johar hosts a celebrity chat show called Koffee With Karan  wherein celebs get candid about their personal lives. This time Karan hosted Indian cricketers Hardik Pandya and KL Rahul and in the flow Hardik said some sexist and controversial things. After they received backlash, Hardik Pandya issued a public apology. 

Hina Khan Mocked for Cannes 2019 Appearance By Filmfare Magazine Editor Jitesh Pillai:

Popular TV actress Hina Khan who debuted in Cannes this year was mocked by Filmfare Magazine editor Jitesh Pillai. He posted her picture on social media and wrote, Has Cannes become Chandivali Studios? His statement fuelled anger in TV celebs and he was trolled mercilessly by actors. 

Ex flames Vishal Aaditya Singh & Madhurima Tuli Created A Huge Ruckus on Nach Baliye 9:

Ex couple Vishal Aaditya Singh & Madhurima Tuli participated in dance reality show Nach Baliye 9 as a couple but more than their performances their ugly fights gained a lot of attention. The two passed nasty comments on national television for each other and backstage the two indulged in physical fight too. 

Faisal Khan-Muskaan Ugly Break Up over rumours of the former dating Sneha Wagh:

Dancer turned actor Faisal Khan unfortunately had to quit Nach Baliye 9 due to a leg injury after Muskaan Kataria broke up with him accusing him of cheating on her. Muskaan in an explosive interview accused Faisal of cheating and blamed Sneha Wagh as the reason for their split which completely shocked everyone. 

Nalini Negi’s Ugly Fight With Flatmate Preeti Rana:

Actress Nalini Negi filed an FIR against her roommate and her mother accusing them of beating her up. She even put up pictures of bruises and marks on her face. After a couple of months, Preeti Rana in an interview revealed some shocking details about the incident and said that Nalini started the fight. 

Neha Kakkar Forcibly Kissed By Contestant on Indian Idol:

Singer Neha Kakkar always seems to find herself in the middle of controversies. The singer was forcibly kissed by one of the contestants during the audition round of Indian Idol 11. The news left everyone on the set shocked, however Neha did not file any complaint against him. 

Tik Tok Star Faisu’s Account Got Suspended Over A Controversial Video:

Popular Tik Tok artist Faisu aka Faisal Shaikh and two of his friends and group members suffered the wrath of Shiv Sena over a controversial video created by them on Tik Tok. An FIR was filed against them by Shiv Sena’s IT cell. 

Actress Amrita Dhanoa Accused Arhan Khan of cheating and fraud:

Bigg Boss 13 contestant Arhan Khan was accused by actress Amrita Dhanoa of cheating and fraud. She claimed that he hides his true identity and was supposed to marry her. She also claimed that he took money from her and did not return it.
