Mugdha Chapekar and Ravish Desai, who tied the knot 9 years ago in a grand Maharashtrian wedding set up have now announced separation. Taking to his Instagram handle, the Kumkum Bhagya fame's husband Ravish Desai announced their divorce.

In this announcement post, Ravish revealed that Mugdha and him have been separated for over a year now and now, after much contemplation, they have decided to part ways. Ravish also urges everyone to give him and Mugdha privacy and asks them to not believe in 'false stories.' Ravish writes, ''After much contemplation and thought Mugdha and I decided to part ways as husband and wife to pursue our own paths. It's been more than a year now. We have had a beautiful journey together that of love, friendship and respect and that would continue all our lives. We request our beloved fans, well wishers, and the media to be kind and supportive and give us the privacy we need to heal. Kindly do not believe in any false stories and statements.Thank you for your love and support.''

While Ravish has shared the news on his Instagram handle, Mugdha has refrained from doing so and has not commented on her separation too. The reason behind the couple parting ways still remains unknown.

For the uninformed, Ravish and Mugdha met and fell in love on the sets of their show 'Satrangi Sasural' in the year 2014. They tied the knot in 2016 and have now decided to part ways. Mugdha is known for her performance in Zee TV's Kumkum Bhagya.
