Raveena Tandon, the beloved Bollywood actress, recently paid tribute to her late father, the esteemed filmmaker Ravi Tandon, by inaugurating a junction in Mumbai's Juhu locality in his honour. 

Ravi Tandon, who sadly passed away due to respiratory failure at his Mumbai residence on February 11, 2022, was commemorated on what would have been his birthday.

Accompanied by her daughter Rasha and mother Veena Tandon, Raveena graced the ceremony held on Friday, marking the unveiling of Shri Ravi Tandon Chowk. Taking to Instagram, she shared poignant snapshots of the event, captioning the post, "Happy Birthday Pops #ravitandonchowk 17 February 2024," inviting her fans and followers to join in remembrance.

Addressing the gathering, Raveena expressed heartfelt gratitude, stating, "Today, we celebrate not just my dad's birth anniversary, but his enduring legacy in the world of cinema." She reflected on her father's passion, dedication, and love for filmmaking, emphasizing the significance of the dedication as a tribute to his contributions. Raveena extended her appreciation to all who supported and honored his memory, expressing hope that his cinematic brilliance would continue to inspire generations.


For the unversed, Raveena's father, Ravi Tandon, was a prominent filmmaker in Indian cinema, renowned for directing several acclaimed dramas throughout the 1970s-1980s, including Anhonee, Khel Khel Mein, Majboor, and Zindagi, among others.
