Amid widespread speculation about the status of Don 3, Excel Entertainment has dismissed rumors of delays or shelving. The production house clarified that the film, starring Ranveer Singh, remains on schedule and unaffected by recent conjecture.

In response to reports suggesting scheduling conflicts and potential postponement, a spokesperson from Excel Entertainment released an official statement: “The makers and Ranveer Singh are on the same page that the timelines of Don 3 remain unchanged. Any such news of postponement is not true.”

The statement further emphasized the production’s ambitious vision for the third installment: “With the timelines firmly in place, the mandates for Don 3 remain ambitious -- delivering a cinematic spectacle that lives up to the franchise’s legacy while setting new benchmarks.”

In August 2023, Farhan Akhtar officially announced Ranveer Singh as the new face of Don, succeeding Shah Rukh Khan and Amitabh Bachchan, who previously portrayed the titular character. The announcement was accompanied by a teaser showing Singh lighting a cigarette and dramatically revealing himself as the new Don.
