Rani Mukerji, Ajay Devgn, Kangana Ranaut & others pay homage to filmmaker Pradeep Sarkar
While all the friends and family members of Pradeep Sarkar are mourning his demise, the fraternity has also expressed their grief.
Pradeep Sarkar, a filmmaker, passed away this morning at 68. Films like He reportedly underwent dialysis, and his potassium levels unexpectedly decreased. He was taken to the hospital right away at 3 in the morning, but sadly he succumbed. While all his friends and family members are mourning his demise, the fraternity has also expressed their grief. Rani Mukerji, who worked with him in Laaga Chunari Mein Daag and Mardaani has expressed her sorrow over his passing.
She said, "I'm very shocked by the news of Dada's passing away. I, in fact, spoke to him just the other day when I had gone to Amritsar, to the Golden Temple where he had called me telling me about my film so we had a long chat, he was insisting on doing a facetime call but that day the network was not good so I was unable to video call with him. We were planning to meet this week when I got back but it is just so unexpected. His wife (Panchali boudi) called me at 4 am when this happened, it is really sad and shocking that dada has passed away like this."
Ajay Devgn took to his Twitter handle and tweeted, "The news of Pradeep Sarkar's demise, 'Dada' to some of us is still hard to digest. My deepest condolences (flower bouquet). My prayers are with the departed and his family. RIP Dada."
Filmmaker Hansal Mehta wrote, "Pradeep Sarkar. Dada. RIP." Sharing Hansal's tweet, actor Manoj Bajpayee wrote, "Ohh! That's so shocking! Rest in peace Dada!!." Kangana Ranaut posted a video of her final supper with the late director. They were going to work together on his upcoming project on the late iconic theatre personality Noti Binodini.
Sharing the video on Twitter, Kangana tweeted, “Last meal I had with Pradeep dada, he knew I love Bengali food, this was during Noti Binodini prep meet, that’s his hand in the first frame… Such terrible news, we were to meet as soon I got to Mumbai… My heart is sinking and I won’t be able to cope with this shocking news.”
