Randhir Kapoor refutes Ranbir Kapoor's statement that he has dementia

Everyone is currently raving about the late great Rishi Kapoor's last on-screen appearance in the form of Sharmaji Namkeen. The film only just released on Amazon Prime Video, and you can read our review of the same here.

But as that happens, his brother Randhir Kapoor recently went on to have an at-length interview where he talked about multiple things. As known, Kapoor has not been keeping well for a while and last year, he contracted COVID-19 which led him to be hospitalised as well. Fortunately, the actor was able to fight it out and is currently keeping well.

But amidst all that, his nephew and Rishi Kapoor's son, Ranbir Kapoor made a statement that Randhir Kapoor is suffering from dementia. As one would remember, Ranbir said that his uncle Randhir Kapoor is going through an early stage of dementia and he came to him after the film and asked him to tell Rishi that he is amazing and where was he, let's call him.

This indicated that Randhir Kapoor had forgotten that his brother Rishi Kapoor has passed away. But now, in the interview, Randhir refuted these claims as he went on to say that nothing of that happened and he only had COVID-19 a while ago.

When asked then why did Ranbir make that statement, Randhir Kapoor said that it is his wish and he is entitled to say what he wants.

Coming to his acting career, Randhir Kapoor was last seen in the 2014 film, Super Nani but has been active enough and appeared on multiple reality shows on TV lately.
