Ranbir Kapoor's Charitable Ways

There have been lots of stars who have been associated with charities and social causes lately. Joining the bandwagon is none other than Ranbir Kapoor. On January 23, Ranbir walked the ramp in Mumbai for girl children in the village of Mijwan. He will also be participating in other events associated with the girl child.

 

To bring this interest into Ranbir was Namrata Goel, daughter of Jet A

Shabana gets very excited when she hears such news. She's always heard that changes for such social causes come from the youth, and now she's seeing people like Ranbir and Namrata to prove the fact.

 

It was sometime during the past year that Namrata visited the village of Mijwan and the visit prompted a change in her thoughts. Afterward, she began finding support for the fashion show on social network sites such as Facebook.

 

Shabana Azmi is very proud of the developments that her ancestral village has made. Apparently, the girls in the village do stunning embroidery work which has garnered them numerous compliments and some big name clients! Designers such as Anita Dongre and recently Manish Malhotra have been getting work done from these girls and using their art in their creations.

 

The village of Mijwan was tiny up until Shabana's father happened to take over the place and a school, college and roads appeared. Shabana regrets never giving attention to her father's work for the village in the part. It's now that she understands her father's attachment to the village.
