Rakshabandhan, or Rakhi as we all call it, is nothing short of a grand celebration in India as on this day, brothers promise their sisters to always protect them by being a shield around them.
And on the occasion of this Rakshabandhan, we thought we'd add our own little twist to the TV characters, thereby pairing them up with their sibling counterparts from other shows.
While we have all heard of the phrase- 'like mother like daughter', we decided to bring to you an amalgamation of TV's 'like brother like sister' jodis.
Dev from Kuch Rang Pyaar Ke Aise Bhi and Maya from Beyhadh

Traits: Obsession, Extremity, Rage
Maya (
Jennifer Winget) and Dev (
Shaheer Sheikh) will make for an ideal brother sister duo, considering the fact that Maya has always played the obsessive lover, while Dev is on the verge of almost turning into one. Maya could may be give Dev some tips about how to get it right, or, to why not become like her.
Advay from Iss Pyaar Ko Kya Naam Doon and Meghna from Ek Shringaar - Swabhimaan

Traits: Strong headed, Vengeful, Resolute
The two, Advay (
Barun Sobti) and Meghna (Sangeita Chauhan) fit the bill of being each others ideal sibling counterparts because they both have characteristics and instincts that match each others'. While both are highly vengeful when it comes to their families and self - respect, the two can be perfectly called prickly pears as far as their behaviour and ways are concerned. They could may be sit down together in their free time and make plans of how could they take their revenge.
Harman from Shakti...Astitva Ke Ehsaas Kii and Anika from Ishqbaaaz
Traits: Vagabond, Lunacy, Assiduous
Anika (
Surbhi Chandna) and Harman (
Vivian Dsena) make for yet another kind of sibling pair because they both have a mind of their own. And while the two are lunatics in their own ways, they are equally meticulous and attentive of the other person. And of course, the two are rather in a world of their own, where they think that things will gradually fall into place. (which ultimately happens, courtesy #JustIndianTVThings)

Traits: Selfless, Patient, Understanding
Ishita (
Divyanka Tripathi) and Kartik (
Mohsin Khan) are the perfect sibling duo, because they indeed are a mirror image of each other. While Ishita keeps up with all that Raman (Karan Patel) puts her through, Kartik's struggle to keep Naira (Shivangi Joshi) out of trouble is real. The two could may be help each other out by giving each others' spouses some advice.

Traits: Compliant, Optimists, Ruthless (If needed)
Mehek (
Samiksha Jaiswal) and Aditya (
Ssudeep Sahir) can be the brother and sister that the other person needs. While both of them are rather compliant and docile, they are equally capable of wrecking havoc if the situation need be. Plus, with a wife like Nisha (Ridhi Dogra), Mehek could be of definite help to brother Aditya may need.
