Rajan Shahi's 'Sapney' on Star One..

Rajan Shahi and Director's Kut, makers of cult shows like Sapna Babul Ka Bidaai and Ye Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai on Star Plus, will be for the first time making a show for Star One tentatively titled 'Sapney'.

We hear that the casting process is still on, and the show is expected to go on floor in mid January 2011. Sapney is the story of a girl who comes down to Mumbai to meet her dream boy.

Our source states, "Going by the flavour of shows that Star One undertakes, Sapney will be a youth oriented show and is speculated to be one of the biggest launches for the channel in the New Year".

Rajan Shahi who has given the industry new faces like Sara Khan, Parul Chauhan and Hina Khan is expected to launch yet another new face in a young girl by name Kamna.

We tried getting in touch with Rajan Shahi for a confirmation, but he remained unavailable.

Well, this is indeed refreshing news, as it comes to us at the fag end of the year 2010!!
