"Raid 2," starring Ajay Devgn, Vaani Kapoor, and Riteish Deshmukh, is set to release in theaters in just two days. The film's promotional campaign has been in full swing for weeks, and now, the Central Board of Film Certification (CBFC) has revealed its modifications. According to reports, an eight-second dialogue has been cut from the film.
A recent report from Bollywood Hungama reveals that the Central Board of Film Certification (CBFC) has not made any visual cuts to "Raid 2." This means that viewers can expect to see all of the film's action sequences intact. However, the CBFC did require the filmmakers to modify two dialogues. The term "Railway Mantri" has been replaced with "Bada Mantri," and an eight-second dialogue, "Paisa, hathyar, taakat," which appears at the beginning of the film, has been removed.
"Raid 2" received its censor certificate from the CBFC in March and was given a "UA 7+" rating. The film's certified duration is 150 minutes and 53 seconds, which translates to 2 hours, 30 minutes, and 53 seconds.
"Raid 2" features a star-studded cast including Ajay Devgn, Vaani Kapoor, Riteish Deshmukh, Rajat Kapoor, Saurabh Shukla, Supriya Pathak, and Amit Sial. The film is directed by Raj Kumar Gupta.
In a conversation with Pinkvilla, director Raj Kumar Gupta revealed how the sequel to "Raid" came to be.
Once the first film succeeded, everyone was inclined towards exploring the world and characters. Our idea was to find a good story and then construct a brilliant screenplay. We spent almost a year and a half on the screenplay. When everyone loved what was developed, Raid 2 came into the picture
- Raj Kumar Gupta
Gupta also shared his experience of working with Ajay Devgn in the crime thriller. He said, “He is such a fabulous actor, and goes with what’s written on the paper. There are scenes in the film that got elevated because of his acting.”
