Photographer Gautam Rajadhyaksha dead

Mumbai, Sep13 Ace fashion photographer Gautam Rajadhyaksha died here early Tuesday following a massive heart attack, family sources said. He was 61.

'It was a heart attack and it happened in the morning. It was his birthday on 16th of this month, so just three days before he passed away. It's really sad,' celebrity photographer Daboo Ratnani told IANS.

Rajadhyaksha was very popular among film personalities and worked on portraits of almost all the leading stars of the Indian film industry. He was also associated with films like 'Hum Saath Saath Hain', 'Hu Tu Tu', 'Kuch Kuch Hota Hai' and 'Hum Aapke Hain Kaun' as special still photographer.

A cousin of writer and socialite Shobha De, Rajadhyaksha was a keen collector of opera recordings and had held several talk shows on the subject. He was also involved with projects concerning Western and Indian classical music.

'My darling Gautam Rajadhyaksha no more. Saddened beyond belief. Farewell confidante-cousin. Thank you for your generous love and soft focus memories,' tweeted De after his demise.
