Actor Pawan Chopra, known for his roles in Sita Ramam (2022), Beast (2022), Shershaah (2021), and the upcoming Freedom at Midnight (2024), reveals that he has never taken fame too seriously, choosing instead to remain grounded.
Reflecting on his journey, he shares, "I understood the transient nature of fame early in my career. When I was doing Kahin Kisi Roz in 2002, I became immensely popular. Wherever I went, people recognized me. But as soon as the show ended, the fame faded too. That's when I realized fame is temporary. For me, work is more important than fame because it's my identity and what keeps my family secure."
He continues, "My profession is like my religion, and I give it my all. If I don't have work, I am nothing. At the same time, my family is my priority they ground me and remind me of what truly matters. Staying grounded helps me focus on my job, ensuring I do it with integrity and dedication. Fame is just a byproduct of our work; I don't take it too seriously.
I also make sure to take breaks and spend quality time with my family. This helps me disconnect from the noise of the industry and recharge my energy. Ultimately, the balance comes from understanding that work and family are equally important, and both need their own space and attention. It is important to make your team just like your family; be it your spot dada, makeup man, actor, cast or anyone."
If I am playing a character people should believe that yes this is true if you start feeling that yes you are the start and you are everything that is when the downfall starts

Talking about the importance of staying grounded, he says, "Staying in touch with my roots is crucial because it keeps me connected to reality. If you lose that connection, your ability to act genuinely falls. I've met several accomplished actors, and one thing they all have in common is their grounded nature. You can only portray truth on screen if you stay true to yourself and your roots.
Acting is like painting a character—you need a pure heart and clarity to bring out every aspect of the role. Being grounded also helps me interact with people from various walks of life, which enriches my understanding of human experiences. I often visit the places where I grew up or spend time with old friends who know me beyond the fame and spotlight. It's this connection to the ground reality that shapes my performances and keeps me evolving as an actor. If I am playing a character people should believe that yes this is true if you start feeling that yes you are the start and you are everything that is when the downfall starts."
