Rachi Sharma approached to lead Sony TV's upcoming show opposite Hitesh Bharadwaj

Rachi Sharma, who rose to fame with her portrayal of Purvi on Zee TV's longest running show Kumkum Bhagya has also recently made a comeback on the show for the shoot of a special sequence.

Well, India Forums had earlier informed its readers about Sony TV coming up with a new show, for which, Hitesh Bharadwaj has been approached to play the male lead. Now, we exclusively bring to our readers some scoop about the female lead of the show. As per our sources, Rachi Sharma has been approached to play the female lead of the show and the actress is almost locked for the role too.

“The makers have approached Hitesh for the role and now, Rachi has been approached to essay the female lead, if everything goes well, both the actors will be locked for the roles,” our source says.

As exclusively reported by India Forums, the show will be produced by SVF productions, which is a popular production house down in Kolkata and have produced shows like ‘Sindoorkhela,’ ‘Maa’ and a lot more. With Sony TV’s show, the production house will now be venturing in the Hindi entertainment space.

On the work front, while Hitesh was last seen essaying the character of Rajat Thakkar in Star Plus’ show Ghum Hai Kisikey Pyaar Meiin, which earned him widespread recognition, Rachi was last seen in Kumkum Bhagya opposite Abrar Qazi. While the show did not perform well on the TRP charts, the makers eventually decided to revamp it and headed for a leap, post which, Rachi and Abrar called it quits.

An official confirmation on Rachi being approached for the show still awaits.
