Rachi Sharma RETURNS to Kumkum Bhagya after recent exit amid news of show being AXED, Details inside

Rachi Sharma, who grew popular with her portrayal of Purvi in Zee TV's Kumkum Bhagya recently called it quits after the show headed for a generation leap. While ardent fans of the show missed watching her onscreen, the actress is reportedly all set to now make a comeback.

As per reports, Rachi has returned for just one sequence and has already shot the same too. The said sequence is a 'dream sequence' where Prarathna (Pranali Rathod) dreams of her mother (Purvi). In the said sequence, Prarthna, who is being forced to get married by Smita, is hurt and distressed. She then dreams of her mother Purvi who gives her an emotional message. While Raunaq (Akshay Bindra) is completely against this forced marriage of Prarthna, Smita is leaving no stones unturned in making things difficult for her.

For the uninformed, Rachi's character Purvi, marked her exit from Kumkum Bhagya by trying to save her daughter Prarthna's life. While the story line of the show revamped and Pranali Rathod alomg with Akshay Bindra were then roped in to essay the new leads of the show, the show has constantly been underperforming and is currently under the scanner. As per reports, Kumkum Bhagya may also go off air soon, with its final episode being telecasted in the month of May. However confirmation on this news awaits.

As for Rachi, the actress was paired opposite Abrar Qazi in the show. Both Abrar and Rachi called it quits after the show headed for a generation leap. Kumkum Bhagya is currently the longest running show on Zee TV.
