Om Raut to direct Ranveer Singh starrer 'Shaktimaan' - report

Actor Ranveer Singh has an array of films lined up ahead but one film that was seemingly not official yet or rolling already - was Shaktimaan. 

As known, Shaktimaan was India's first iconic superhero and a while ago, there were reports that a movie is being made on it where superstar Ranveer Singh is slated to play the leading man.

And now, another report has come in that none other than director Om Raut maybe the one who will be calling shots for this action entertainer.

Singh is reportedly keen to step into the legendary role, which was played by Mukesh Khanna in the popular TV show, but he is yet to sign on the dotted line.

According to a news portal, Raut has been approached to direct Singh as Pandit Gangadhar Vidyadhar Mayadhar Omkarnath Shastri aka Shaktimaan. In the past, Om Raut has called the shots for Ajay Devgn starrer historical drama Tanhaji: The Unsung Warrior and is currently working on Adipurush, a narrative based on Lord Ram. If reports are to be believed then Om Raut will start work on the VFX-heavy Shaktimaan after Adipurush.

Om Raut’s Adipurush is a much awaited film, starring Prabhas, Saif Ali Khan, Kriti Sanon and Sunny Singh in lead roles.
