New plea filed by Karisma Kapoor's children in Sanjay Kapur inheritance case

Karisma Kapoor's kids, Samaira and Kiaan, have filed a petition against Priya Sachdev in the Delhi High Court, seeking to prevent her from altering or transferring Sunjay Kapur's assets amid the ongoing inheritance battle.

The court is set to hear this request on November 20. The move follows the High Court's questioning of Priya and the will's executor, Shraddha Suri Marwah, over their objections to a forensic examination of Sunjay's alleged will, which Samaira and Kiaan claim is forged. The siblings are contesting the will, citing multiple irregularities and seeking a larger share of their late father's estimated Rs 30,000 crore estate.

The Will document and the application from the Kapur children, seeking a forensic examination, are under the purview of Gagandeep Jindal, the Joint Registrar of the Delhi High Court.

Samaira and Kiaan’s plea from court

Following a hearing on November 17, Samaira and Kiaan's request to examine the original Will, submitted by Priya in October and contested for its irregularities, was addressed. The Joint Registrar has instructed Priya Sachdev and Shraddha Suri Marwah to provide a written response outlining their objections within three weeks, allowing Samaira and Kiaan's legal representatives to submit supplementary documents.

The subsequent hearing is set for December 16. In September 2003, Karisma Kapoor and Sunjay Kapur entered into marriage, later welcoming their children, Samaira in 2005 and Kiaan in 2011. The couple's relationship concluded in 2016, with Sunjay Kapur's passing in June 2025. Although Karisma is not a direct party in the ongoing legal proceedings concerning her former husband's inheritance, she is representing their children, Samaira and Kiaan, in the matter.
