Megha Chakraborty sets the record straight on comparison between Imlie and YRKKH

Megha Chakraborty, who essays the character of Imlie in Star Plus' popular show Imlie got into an exclusive conversation with India Forums and spoke about the much awaited reunion of Imlie and Atharva and also commented on the uncanny resemblance of the show's current track to the track of Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai. 

We asked Megha about the much awaited reunion of Imlie and Atharva and as an actor was she too equally excited for the reunion. To this, the actress said, ''Yes ofcourse, just like the audience, we too were eagerly waiting for it to happen. The reunion scene we shot was very teresting and I know the audience has been waiting for it. Imlie and Atharva are coming face to face after 5 years!  We too were waiting for what will happen after they come face to face. So as a performer too, we were looking forward for this scene.''

Further the actress revealed whether or not this reunion will rekindle the love or will it cause even bigger problems. Replying to this question, Megha said, ''For love to rekindle, all the misunderstandings between Atharva and Imlie ned to be cleared. Right now, Atharva believes that Imlie did not want to give birth to their child and that his family has replaced him and have given his place to Dhairya. Imlie too is unaware about the fact that Kairi is her daughter. She is yet to know this that Kairi is Atharva's daughter and that he has a family now and is staying with Cheeni. So I guess when this comes out, things are definitely going to get even more worse.''

If you have been following both Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai and Imlie, you will agree that both the shows have an uncanny resemblance. When we asked Megha about the same, she said, ''I honestly don't know this and it is because I have not followed Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai. I may have seen a few promos of the show but that's about it. I do not believe that our show is similar to theirs. I barely get the time to watch my own show too. So, I don't think so I will be able to comment on it. Everyone has a different show, different storyline, different characters too. And even if there is a similar track, I am sure their characters will be different, their emotions will be different, their performance, their onscreen family reactions will be different. So even if our show has a similar track, it definitely is not the same as them, because of all the above mentioned reasons.''
