Manish Malhotra to design Mumbai police's new uniform

Mumbai, May 29 (IANS) Designer Manish Malhotra, who is to craft a new uniform for the Mumbai police, is excited about the project but will not disclose any details, saying the project is in its early stages.

'Now it's in a very early stage. We are working on it. It will take some time. Lots of approvals have to be taken. We all are very excited; it's a very prestigious thing for me. The work is in progress. I can't say anything more about it,' Manish said.

Asked to give some hint about the design and colour of the uniform, he said: 'Nothing has been decided.'

Manish is doing the finale fashion show at IIFA Awards 2010 to be held in Colombo, Sri Lanka and also designing Kareena Kapoor's costumes for her performance in that ceremony.
