Madhuri Dixit reacts to Khal Nayak 2 after Subhash Ghai confirms the sequel!

Madhuri Dixit’s song Choli Ke Peeche Kya Hai was one of the highlights of Khal Nayak (1993). The song easily impressed the fans and it holds a huge fans base even today. The original also starred actors Sanjay Dutt and Jackie Shroff.

Meanwhile, filmmaker Subhash Ghai had confirmed the sequel to his 1993 hit, but to everyone’s surprise Madhuri is totally unaware of the developments. 

In a recent interview with IANS, when Madhuri was asked about the follow-up to Khal Nayak, she said, "That's news to me. I have no idea. It is a surprise for me." 

She was also asked if she would like to continue with the film's story that revolved around the escape and attempted capture of the criminal Ballu (Sanjay Dutt) by the cop Ram (Jackie Shroff) and his girlfriend, officer Ganga (Madhuri). To which she said, “It depends on the script, how they are planning to do, where they want to shoot. I think we will take things as they come.”

Madhuri further said that she hasn't really given a thought to remakes or sequels of any of the films that she starred in. "I think it's up to others," said the actress. 

As of now, she looks forward to getting back to the studios after a long break due to the coronavirus-induced lockdown. "After the lockdown, I will resume my projects like 'Dance Deewane' and a Netflix project. I will be back to the studios," said Madhuri.

The 53-year-old actress has given many hits like Tezaab, Dil, Saajan, Hum Aapke Hain Koun..! and Dil To Pagal Hai.

Earlier, Madhuri had revealed that her kids do not usually watch her films but they do give her expert advice whenever needed. In fact, even with her single debut, they pitched in their suggestions.
