When you come to watch this film, don’t miss the beginning. It is one of the most important films. The first 10 minutes of this film are the most important thing. I am sure that this film will reach you through your camera. The people who have decided to watch this film will know that this film has not come late. It has come at the right time. Similarly, Akshay made another request during the film’s Delhi screening. He said, “I humbly request you all to please keep your phones in your pockets and listen to every dialogue of this film. It will mean a lot. If you try to check your Instagram during the movie, it will be a humiliation for the film. So I request everyone to keep their phones away."
"Kesari Chapter 2: The Untold Story of Jallianwala Bagh," starring Akshay Kumar, R Madhavan, and Ananya Panday, delves into the aftermath of the tragic Jallianwala Bagh massacre of April 13, 1919. The film focuses on C. Sankaran Nair, a courageous lawyer played by Akshay Kumar, who fights for justice for the victims against the British Raj.
The film has sparked controversy ahead of its release due to recent comments made by the director, Tyagi, regarding a documentary featuring General Dyer's great-granddaughter. Tyagi criticized her attempt to justify the massacre by labeling the unarmed crowd as looters, raising concerns about the film's potential portrayal of the historical event.
"Kesari Chapter 2", a spiritual successor to Akshay Kumar's 2019 hit "Kesari", delves into the inspiring story of Chettur Sankaran Nair's courageous stand against the British Crown in the aftermath of the tragic 1919 Jallianwala Bagh massacre. Akshay Kumar portrays Sankaran, while Madhavan takes on the role of his opposing lawyer, Neville McKinley, and Ananya Panday plays Dilreet Gill. The film draws its narrative from Raghu Palat and Pushpa Palat's captivating book, "The Case That Shook the Empire," and is a collaborative production by Dharma Productions, Leo Media Collective, and Cape of Good Films.
