The departure of Paresh Rawal from Hera Pheri 3 has stirred significant discussion. His exit surprised many, including the film's creators and fellow actors. Subsequently, legal action was initiated when Akshay Kumar's company, Cape Of Good Cinema, sued Rawal for ?25 crore. Recently, Akshay addressed the situation in an interview with Pinkvilla, expressing optimism about the film's progress.

When questioned about the current status of "Hera Pheri 3," Akshay Kumar responded, "Whatever is happening is happening in front of you." He continued, "Keeping my fingers crossed. I hope everything goes well." Akshay remained optimistic, affirming, "Everything will go well only. I know, for sure."

The controversy surrounding Akshay Kumar and Paresh Rawal has been prominent since Rawal's decision to exit the highly anticipated "Hera Pheri 3." In an interview with Lallantop, Paresh Rawal characterized his cherished "Hera Pheri" role as a "gale ka fanda," indicating his wish to develop beyond it rather than be typecast.

Following Paresh Rawal's public withdrawal, tensions escalated when Akshay Kumar filed a lawsuit. In response, Rawal returned the signing amount with interest, intensifying their discord. Despite their strained relationship, Akshay and Paresh recently completed filming Priyadarshan’s horror-comedy, Bhoot Bangla. Reports suggest a relationship far removed from their previous camaraderie.

Rawal previously confirmed his exit from the comedy franchise via a tweet on his X handle. This followed speculation about disagreements with Akshay Kumar and the production house regarding his fee for Hera Pheri 3.

Paresh's tweet read, "I wish to put it on record that my decision to step away from Hera Pheri 3 was not due to creative differences. I REITERATE THAT THERE ARE NO CREATIVE DISAGREEMENT WITH THE FILM MAKER . I hold immense love, respect, and faith in Mr. Priyadarshan the film director."

Professionally, Akshay Kumar is set to debut in the Telugu film industry with the fantasy mythological saga Kannappa. He will play Lord Shiva, alongside Vishnu Manchu in the lead role, with Mohanlal and Prabhas in special appearances. Kannappa is scheduled for release on June 27, 2025, marking Akshay's Telugu film debut.

Hera Pheri 3, the anticipated sequel to the 2000 hit Hera Pheri, with its second installment in 2006, was initially announced in 2023. Earlier this year, Priyadarshan was confirmed to direct the film.
