Kartik Aaryan, Karan Johar, Mrighdeep Lamba's movie was initially rejected by Akshay Kumar for THIS reason

After making headlines for their fall-out Kartik Aaryan and Karan Johar are working on two films together. The latest announcement is the Kartik Aaryan movie with Mrighdeep Singh Lamba. Mahaveer Jain is also a co-producer of the film. Mrighdeep Singh Lamba is the creator of the Fukrey franchise, which is one of the most successful ones in Bollywood. In this film, a snake is going to the antagonist. As we know, Indians have loved the premise of Naags and Naagins. Ekta Kapoor made a hit series for TV which lasted for six seasons.

As per a report, Akshay Kumar was initially offered this film by Karan Johar. He has worked with Dharma Movies for Good Newwz and the Kesari films. A source told Bollywood Hungama that Akshay Kumar was offered the film initially. He did read the script and have detailed discussions with the makers. The source further said, “He was not convinced with the conflict of snake vs human, and didn't want to venture into this genre again after Jaani Dushman.”

Mahaveer Jain and Karan Johar met on multiple occasions but when they realised that Akshay was not coming on board, they went to Kartik Aaryan. The young actor has seen success in the supernatural genre with the Bhool Bhulaiyaa series. Both Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2 and Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3 were box office successes.

Kartik loved the idea of man vs snake and instantly signed on for the film. He feels this is another winner under his kitty after Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2 and 3, as the supernatural elements are the flavor of the season for the big screen
