Kartik Aaryan’s Upcoming Comedy Roars with an Unexpected Twist in the Title

Kartik Aaryan is all set to surprise fans with a completely new genre – a creature comedy. This time, he is teaming up with Fukrey fame director Mrighdeep Singh Lamba. Their film, revolving around a unique snake vs human concept, is reportedly titled Naagzilla – a fun twist that reminds fans of the Hollywood film Godzilla.

As per a report by Bollywood Hungama, the film's title is now finalised as Naagzilla. A source close to the project shared, "The film is titled Naagzilla, which is a take-off from the cult Hollywood blockbuster Godzilla." The insider also mentioned that the movie will be high on entertainment, humour, and creative storytelling. Before locking in Naagzilla, the team had also brainstormed quirky titles like Icchadhari Naagin and Naagvilla.

Though the official announcement is yet to be made, the buzz says that the team has already finished a photoshoot. A poster is also expected to be out soon. Preparations for the film have reportedly begun, and the makers are quite thrilled about the project.

What makes this even more exciting is the producer list – Karan Johar and Mahaveer Jain will be backing the film. Another source revealed that this film won’t just be a one-time watch. It is being made as a full-fledged trilogy. "Mrighdeep Singh Lamba has been working on this high-concept comedy for a while now, and the film is being designed as a trilogy with Kartik Aaryan in the lead. It's a script that has the potential to resonate with every section of the cinema-going audience," said the source.

The movie is expected to go on floors by September 2025. If all goes well, it will release in the latter half of 2026. Meanwhile, Kartik has a busy schedule. He’s working on Anurag Basu’s untitled romantic drama opposite Sreeleela, set for a Diwali 2025 release. He also stars in Tu Meri Main Tera Main Tera Tu Meri, directed by Satyaprem Ki Katha director Sameer Vidwans.
