Kareena Kapoor Khan hikes her fees to a whopping 12 crore for playing Sita in a periodic drama?

Actor Kareena Kapoor Khan has been making it to the headlines for all the right reasons. She recently ended her maternity leave as Bebo was recently blessed with a baby boy. The 40-year-old actress has been working in full swing owing to the number films she possesses. 

Now, a recent ETimes report suggests that the actress has increased her fee for a period drama and she will essay the role of Sita in the film.

The film will narrate the epic Ramayan from Sita's point of view and Kareena is the first choice. 

While the actress is reportedly charging 6 to 8 crores for her current projects, she has hiked her fees to a whopping 12 crore. 

The film requires at least 8 to 10 months of prep work and shooting, reported ETimes.

Kareena has two more films in her kitty including Veere Di Wedding 2 and Hansal Mehta's film. The report suggests that she will only start working for the periodic drama after she wraps up these two projects. 

Kareena Kapoor Khan and the makers are yet to make an official announcement about the film.

On the other hand, Kareena also has Advait Chandan's ‘Laal Singh Chaddha’ with Aamir Khan. She is also a part of Karan Johar’s ‘Takht’. The film will also feature Ranveer Singh, Anil Kapoor, Alia Bhatt, Vicky Kaushal, Bhumi Pednekar and Janhvi Kapoor in pivotal roles.
