Karan Johar RUBBISHES reports of signing Ranveer Singh for his next

Here's what the filmmaker has expressed.

For a long time now, reports of filmmaker Karan Johar signing Ranveer Singh for his next period drama film were doing rounds. Apart from Ranveer, talks of Alia Bhatt and Janhvi Kapoor in his directorial next were also in the news but now the filmmaker has dismissed all these reports.

Johar tweeted, "Lots of conjecture and unnecessary stories on my directorial next!!!! Just to make clear not a single actor has heard or read the script of my next film!!!!! Everything you read or hear is Hearsay!"

About Ranveer and Karan's period drama film, reports had revealed, "It will be a big budget film. It's the first time Karan is entering the period drama space. After backing both the Baahubali films, he has tasted blood. He now wants to make a film on a similar scale under the Dharma Productions banner. Ranveer and Karan share a great rapport and it will be interesting to see them working together".

While fans were excited to watch Ranveer in a period film yet again, we guess they have to wait for another project as this one is definitely not in the making.

Other reports also revealed how Karan Johar is all set to bring Alia Bhatt and Janhvi Kapoor together on the silver screens soon. An official announcement of the same was expected but instead Karan has dismissed these reports as well.

As a producer, Karan Johar is elated to launch new comers Janhvi Kapoor and Ishaan Khattar under his home banner Dharma Productions. Titled 'Dhadak', a Hindi adaption of the hit Marathi film Sairat is slated to release on 20^th July 2018.
