Indian cinema is going to shine at the Cannes Film Festival again! Neeraj Ghaywan's "Homebound," starring Ishaan Khatter, Janhvi Kapoor, and Vishal Jethwa, is set to premiere. The film has been selected for the prestigious Un Certain Regard section, which highlights unique storytelling from around the world.

The first official poster for "Homebound" is out on May 14, and the premiere is set for May 21, 2025! Dharma Productions shared the news on Instagram.

Adding to the excitement surrounding the project, legendary Hollywood filmmaker Martin Scorsese has joined as executive producer. The unveiling of the film's first official poster and the confirmation of its premiere date, May 21, 2025, have generated considerable buzz, with Dharma Productions backing the film and sharing the update via Instagram. This collaboration between Ghaywan and Scorsese promises a cinematic experience that is eagerly awaited by audiences and critics alike.

In a statement, Scorsese shared why he was drawn to the project: “So, when Mélita Toscan du Plantier sent me the project of his second film, I was curious. I loved the story, the culture and was willing to help. Neeraj has made a beautifully crafted film that’s a significant contribution to Indian cinema. I am glad the movie is an official selection at Un Certain Regard in Cannes this year."
